What a better way to end the week than with vintage Dior? Dapper Day at Disney is a vintage lovers dream and Paige Mercer Photography always captures magic! These couples were able to find matching dresses from the same collection for an utterly dreamy vintage Paris shoot at the France pavilion at Epcot.
The wardrobe for this portrait session was inspired by Dior New Look. On February 12, 1947 Christian Dior launched his spring/summer collection which brought back the spirit of haute couture to post war France. The line was seen as revolutionary, bringing back extreme silhouettes with full skirts and defined waists. My best friend and I, on a stroke of luck, managed to find two dresses from the same line (Taffy’s of California), sold by two different vintage sellers. Magically, each dress was in our respective measurements! Because of that magic, these dresses are probably my favorite vintage pieces we’ve collected.
