It’s Valentine’s Day and I couldn’t think of a sweeter way to celebrate than with this dreamy bridal session captured by Live View Studios. The shoot was inspired by Wilfred Arlan Peterson’s poem Art of a Good Marriage. The poem is a beautiful statement of love and the truth behind a successful marriage. It would make for a lovely ceremony reading and I love how this team created something so special from this pure inspiration.
She leaned over her paper, wandering the clefts of her mind in search of the perfect words for her beloved groom on their wedding day. She thought of her dreams for them, her fathomless love for him, of her air-thirsted lungs whenever she caught him stealing a glance from across the room, and suddenly her own words grew faint and muted against the vivid tapestry of their life together.
She bit her lip and paused, eyes dusting the page below, pen perched loosely in hand, when she recalled the words of Wilfred Arlan Peterson, his Art of a Good Marriage, his recipe for lasting affection and commitment. Pen touched paper, and she guided the ink as midnight words fleeted across the page in dancing swirls of love and promise: “Happiness in a marriage is not something that just happens…”
As she stood back and admired her work, a smile played at the corners of her mouth.
“It is not only marrying the right partner; it is being the right partner.”
