With Memorial Day this weekend, I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than sharing this sweet vintage styled Marine engagement session from Kathryn Ivy Photography. This couple has such a sweet story. They met in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba while Callie was visiting her father, a Naval Commander, who was stationed there along with David. They had an instant connection and saw each other every day while Callie was there, and then kept in touch long distance when she went back to the US. For the shoot, Kathryn captured this cute couple in Callie’s hometown of Statesville, NC. I love how the bride’s retro polka dot dress pairs perfectly with the groom’s Service Alpha uniform.
