Today’s elegant pink wedding is just filled with great DIY details! From the handmade bouquets to the DIY veil, there are tons of budget-friendly details any bride can take on. This couple fell in love through letters and styled their wedding around their love story with a glam vintage edge. I absolutely love the little sign with their love story timeline, such a sweet idea!
The gorgeous bride Celeste shares:
Tyler and I were married in the Manti Temple and it was a day we had both looked forward to throughout our lives. The temple is beautiful and nestled in the mountains of Manti Utah. I was glad this temple had significant meaning to Tyler and his family as it was built in the 1800s and therefore has a vintage look and that was the style of our wedding. Tyler and I had an old fashion love as we met through a friend and letters were how we got to know each other. We loved incorporating our letters into our decor.
Our favorite part of the day was the ceremony. Seeing all of our friends and family gathered in the same room that Tyler’s Parents as well as all of his married siblings were married in, to be there with us as we started our lives together. We were overwhelmed by all of the love and support of all those who were there with us. I loved seeing the expression on Tyler’s face, the way he looked at me with deep love and devotion as we held hands and were married. The most important thing to us as we planned our wedding was to create a day of long lasting memories that we could look back on and enjoy throughout our lives.
I wanted my wedding to be soft and delicate with vintage details tied in. The colors I incorporated in the design were champagne, cream, pale pinks, and splashes of mauve. I had a very specific budget I (and my dad) wanted to stay within, and wanted to make my wedding beautiful without the expensive cost that often comes with it.
As you may have guessed a lot of my décor was do it yourself projects. Do It Your Family Projects would be more accurate. Some of the details that were Family Projects were my bouquet as well as my bridesmaid’s bouquets, they were made of flowers made from fabric then hot glued to a Styrofoam ball, thank you sisters. The material for the mauve flowers in my bouquet actually came from one of the flower girl dresses from my mother’s wedding. The boutonnieres and corsages were made from fabric flowers similar to the bouquets.
