We love when weddings take inspiration from the art world! This shoot from Olivia Hatfield Photography, inspired by Art Nouveau painter Alphonse Mucha, is an absolute dream. The details are modern meets vintage. With an iridescent wedding gown, ethereal painted backdrops, and lush florals, it is hard not to fall head over heels. The color palette of mauve and plum is utterly romantic and a fit for any season.
The inspiration shoot features many key elements to attract an artistic bride who is looking to use texture, whimsy florals and pops of color. This was inspired by Alphonse Mucha, an Art Nouveau painter who celebrates the female figure by using beautiful colors and amazing floral elements. Alphonse Mucha was an Czech Art Nouveau painter. The majority of his artwork featured strong floral elements, organic fabric, pastel or bold colors all while capturing the beauty of a woman. I have always been inspired by his work. I love the color and how the female figure is intertwined in all the floral elements. The more I have looked at his work and the further I grew as a wedding photographer, his images reminded me more and more of a bridal look.
