A Pink and Blue Rustic Barn Wedding

Cowboy boots, lace, and beautiful handmade details abound in today’s pink and blue barn wedding from KT Crabb Photography. I love the simple but chic centerpieces, and can you believe the cake was made by the groom’s family members? So pretty! I also love the cute honey bears as favors.

While planning our wedding we really stuck to a tight budget so we could include as many friends and family as possible to celebrate our special day with us. Our focus was to create a unique setting that really reflected both of our personalities with a lot of southern charm! We wanted a really unique wedding. Me and Thomas are both really “outdoorsy” people and we wanted to bring that to our wedding. The venue we chose fit our vision perfectly. With a little glitz and glam it really set the scene for the entire day.

We were engaged for two years and we spent the first year getting ideas and trying to find cost effective ways of saving money where we could. The second year was all the hard work! DIY projects took over my house! I made all the centerpieces, aisle decorations and alter decorations with the help of one of my bridesmaids, Lauren, and her mom. We put lace and pearls every where we could! Flowers were just as important.

Our wedding cake was made by Toms grandmother and sister. We had a “pie” bar instead of serving the whole cake although that was an option for guests that didn’t like pie. After going through all the decorations, we decided that we needed a pop of color and I ordered bright blue cloth napkins, they got here 2 days before the wedding! Thank God for the family we had in town that helped get all the final details together.

Our favorite parts of the day were of course the ceremony and saying our vows but also releasing Chinese sky lanterns as our send off. We were able to keep two that we plan on releasing to celebrate our first anniversary. Spending such a special day with so many friends and family meant the world to us.
