It must be gorgeous gown week here on G&G, because I am obsessed with today’s fluffy tulle gown too! And the bride’s hair? So fabulous! The whole wedding really has such a classic and romantic feel, I love it!
The gorgeous bride Lauren shares:
I was inspired by the weddings I saw on all the beautiful wedding blogs! I really love our color palate: Poppy, Mint, and blush. Even though I just adored our florals and rentals, my favorite detail was the Dairy Queen ice cream cake.
My favorite memory from our special day was saying and hear our vows and my swing dance with my dad.
We initially were looking for a traditional wedding band that would play all the classics (Michael Jackson, motown, beatles, etc). As we looked through the different band genres we came across the big band/swing category and loved the idea of having music that was a little less “wedding traditional” but still would be really fun for our guests. We had been working with Sam Hill Entertainment to find a band and when I reached out to them for a swing band, they recommended the Golddiggers from Nashville. We loved the videos we saw of them. We were impressed by the talent of the musicians and also that their clothing, equipment and overall look, appeared to be straight out of the 1930s. With that as an inspiration, Shawn, from Beehive Events, designed the ballroom space to look like a 1930’s supper club. Once we had the band nailed down both Aaron and I and my parents began taking swing lessons so we could really WOW our guests at the wedding.
