Fall Seaside Wedding at Wychmere Beach Club

Mason and Caroline’s November Wychmere Beach Club wedding, captured by Zhaun Frias Photography, carried a sense of thoughtful simplicity. Guided by muted earth tones and classic details, the couple let the day’s joy take center stage. Caroline honored her family in a beautiful way, wearing an Amsale gown as a nod to her mom, who also wore an Amsale on her wedding day decades earlier. Personal touches came to life in every aspect, from handcrafted oyster-shell escort cards that doubled as favors to green matchbooks and drink stirrers featuring their beloved dog, Bodie. Cocktail hour featured a raw bar displayed in a stunning white boat, while the reception embraced a classic look with simple white linens and blooms on every table, keeping the focus on connection. Though the morning began gray and rainy, the skies cleared just as church bells rang for the ceremony, giving way to a glowing orange sunset during the rooftop cocktail hour. Tucked between the big moments were ones the two will treasure most, like sharing hors d’oeuvres alone in the bridal suite and revealing the finished space with Caroline’s parents, soaking in the pride of seeing months of effort come to life. In the end, the day felt exactly like them: heartfelt, unfussy, and unforgettable.

“Caroline wore an Amsale gown with a Monique Lhuillier lace topper. I chose it as my mom wore Amsale on her wedding day in 1994 (34 years ago!)”

“Our wedding morning was rainy and overcast. Suddenly, right before the ceremony started and the church bells started to ring, the sun completely came out. This led us into the ultimate, orangey sunset during our rooftop cocktail hour.”

“We had a large glass jar filled with green & white M&Ms (with our faces on them), and we asked guests to guess the number of M&Ms in the jar. This was inspired by a family tradition in Caroline’s family. We also loved our green matchbooks & the stirrers with our beloved dog Bodie’s face on them!”

“We were all about the low-key, muted, earth-toned color palettes.”

“There is absolutely nothing like having everyone you love and care about in one room.”
