Color Explosion for this Virginia Estate Wedding

Cole and Kaitlyn’s May wedding embraced joy, color, and personal meaning. Planned by Evermore Occasions, the main vibe inspiration came from Taylor Swift’s 2021 floral appliqué Grammy dress. Kaitlyn’s bridesmaids each held a monochromatic bouquet, which, when combined, created her own bouquet, symbolizing loved ones coming together. The ceremony, set on the venue’s picturesque lawn, featured a custom-made hot pink platform. Avid gardeners themselves, their escort wall held seed packets for each guest to take home. Their guest book was a mailbox with Italy-themed postcards, nodding to their honeymoon destination, and their shared love of F1 made an appearance with playful custom stickers. From a beer cheese and pretzel late-night snack for Cole to guests ending the night swaying arm-in-arm to “Wagon Wheel,” a beloved college tradition, the day was a vibrant celebration of who they are both separately and as a team.

“Inspiration for the wedding originally came from Kaitlyn’s love for Taylor Swift, but quickly evolved into a unique blend that personified Cole’s and Kaitlyn’s happiness; bright, easygoing, bold, and a blend of elements that stand out on their own but work even better together. Our number one priority was for guests to have fun and for them to have a fun day with minimal stress, and a priority on spending time with the people we love. It worked!”

“My bridesmaids’ bouquets were monoculture monochromatic flowers that then made up my bouquet to symbolize how my friends help me become me.”

“We had such a combination of colors that were blended together so perfectly. Three different tables, each with its own cape and menu that color coordinated with the overall palette, but also with meal selection, for example. We got married in the round, which was a first (and hopefully not last) for the venue!”

“We also had our escort wall be seed packets so guests could plant flowers when they got home, and we get the joy of seeing them bloom! Our cocktail hour had our string trio play Taylor Swift songs due to my love for her. We love to travel, and instead of a standard guest book we got a mailbox and Italy (our honeymoon destination) themed post cards that people could write, which will then be turned into a scrap book with honeymoon photos and memories.”

“The experience is ultimately the most everlasting important part of this whole milestone and celebration, and it’s not just the guest experience of the day but the experience of the bride and groom planning, getting ready, and all the details in between. Couples who are getting married have already done the most difficult task — which is finding each other! Now it’s about picking the right team to help you showcase the love they experience every day.”
