With colorful pastels and a dreamy farm setting, this shoot from Lauren Beauregard Photography inspired by Anne of Green Gables is a vintage lover’s dream! We love the amazing hand-painted wedding invitation (look at that stunning liner!) And the mini cake place settings are too adorable! The stand out detail though is the handmade wood oval arch. Covered in trailing blooms, it is the epitome of romance!
Anne is one of my personal all time favorite characters and to honor her timeless romance with her childhood love Gilbert Blythe, I wanted to embody all things Anne in a modern bridal editorial. To accomplish this I gathered the most wonderful team of specialized vendors to bring to life a whimsical Anne inspired theme utilizing summer colors, fresh fruits, wild blooms, and classic elements straight from the pages of the novel Anne of Green Gables (like the infamous raspberry cordial incident).
The venue selected was the absolute perfect setting between the farmhouse and a beautiful barn hidden away in the woods. The entire location reminded me of Anne’s beloved Green Gables, with its landscape that fit the novel perfectly. To bring focus to the beauty of the natural surroundings, my grandfather made our team an oval shaped custom arch, innovating to create a window to the story we were capturing. This arch was not the only personal aspect added to this editorial, my grandfather actually gave me all of my grandmother’s milk glass dishes to be used in our tablescape. Fusing my own story with Anne’s brought a unique emotional element to the shoot that was not anticipated.
