Orchards in bloom are a magical place and the perfect spot for a dreamy picnic elopement! Coryn Kiefer Photography captured this stunning shoot filled with bright pink peonies and lots of love.
The inspiration behind this shoot was to combine the airy elegance of the spring season with modern notion of a romantic elopement. Modern and vintage décor elements were artfully tied together to help bring this vision to life. The elopement was set to take place in Corrales New Mexico in the early evening as the sun cascades light through apple trees and on to the Sandia Mountains in the distance. Keeping with our garden theme, we decided to forgo the usual sweetheart table for an intimate picnic of champagne and cake. Colorful throw pillows, vintage lanterns and a small wooden table were placed on a hand woven ivory quilt completing the look. To contrast the natural softness of the blossoms, the primary colors of this wedding are magenta, green and ivory. Accents of additional pink hues, robin blue, and mustard yellow were added to round out and modernize the airy palette.
As with any wedding it is the delicate small touches the make it special. A soft pink & white apple blossom was hand painted in watercolor and placed under a vellum topper for the elopement announcement. Vow books were hand crafted with cloth covers and painted lettering.
