I’m so excited to share this glam pink and gold wedding from Simply by Tamara Nicole and Lora Grady Photography. It is filled to the brim with so many dreamy and whimsical details that you are sure to fall for. The ceremony set up is absolutely amazing! The suspended hoops and draping are absolutely beautiful and the perfect blend of elegance and whimsy.
We wanted a simple and chic, minimally extravagant wedding. For colors we chose a soft blush with gold accents. Our theme was coffee, but I would say our style was more than just that. Really our style was modern decorum with a timeless elegant flair. Luckily our wedding planner was able to refer us to some awesome vendors who were more than happy to make our dream day a reality.
We are from Oregon and love the Northwest. We both have a lot of family and friends from all over the country and because most people were going to end up flying out anyways (yes, some also drove.) Because of this we decided to have the wedding in Seattle. The city has such a warm and vibrant feel to it…Even when it’s raining. Plus it’s a place where there is a lot of culture and a lot to do. Luckily our Wedding was in July and the sun was out in full effect. Sparing 2 guests we ended up with 60 total out of town travelers on our guest list. Not too bad for a destination wedding!
My favorite moment was seeing my lovely wife for the first time. She was so beautiful and glowing. I’ll never forget that moment when she came through the door. I was way too emotional that day. One thing about being engaged for two years is that when that day finally happens there’s a lot of room for build up. Needless to say we were both overwhelmingly happy.
When we said a prayer for those who couldn’t make it the room fell silent and for a moment a huge gust of wind came and filled the room like a blanket of comfort. It was very beautiful.
We have to take our hats off to our wedding planner again. Tamara covered all the bases for us. From custom labeling the coffee we got for the guests to the stir sticks that had our initials. Also the individual macaroons with everyone’s name. She pulled out all the stops.
It was important for us to take it easy and not stress too much. We realized that it was a big production right away and gave ourselves plenty of time to get everything done. We made it a 2 year engagement so that we had plenty of time to make sure everything went perfect. Also we had a wonderful planner who was able to get things done and keep us on schedule.
We’ve been together for a long time and it was very nice to see everyone come together to speak about us. It was good to know that we have both touched people’s lives and have been held up by a safety net of friends and family whom we all share mutual love and admiration.
