Being a native Floridian, I am very familiar to beach weddings. They can very quickly become cheesy with overdone details. Not so with this gorgeous shoot from Amanda Hedgepeth. This romantic take on a beach wedding has everything you love about the seaside, but with an elegant and timeless feel.
There is something naturally enchanting and magical about the ocean, and we wanted to capture that in our Sea Mist Romance shoot. We were so excited to get to work on styling this beauty when Michelle of One Sweet Day in May approached us to put together a soft, ethereal and elegant look that could embody, as she put it, “a real life Little Mermaid wedding!” With touches of whimsy, lots of beach-combed details and nods to everyone’s favorite Disney movie, we created a palette of varying shades of misty and deep ocean blues, soft oyster grays and mixed metals and aimed to highlight the natural beauty of the beach.
