If you love color, you are going to fall for today’s bright and colorful spring wedding from Kate Supa. The pink, orange, and gold color palette is so playful and fun and definitely sets the mood for the whole day. The florals are amazing and I love the cute and easy DIY centerpieces.
I chose to do shades of pink and orange, with some touches of gold. I wanted country chic, complete with gold glitter mason jars and candles. Our location was right on the water at a beautiful manor in Mathews, Virginia.
I had a white and pink handkerchief in my bouquet that my Mom gave my sister to use at her wedding. My sister-in-law also carried it on her wedding day.
I really wanted the whole wedding to reflect who we were, and I wanted to be about us and our relationship being centered around God. Our ceremony was personal and showed who we were, so that was the most important to us.
We had a difficult time finding the venue, and everything revolved around that and getting a date. We finally found the perfect venue and got married the same week as my parents did 43 years ago.
Almost all of our decorations were handmade. My mom and some family and friends helped glittered all the jars and candles, I designed the Save The Date and the program. I made the joy sign that people signed as a guest book. Pretty much everything was DIY.
The whole day was amazing. My girls prayed for me before the ceremony and that was definitely a favorite. The ceremony was so wonderful, so hearing things we had written about and to each other was a BIG favorite, and then getting to see our family friends there, some we hadn’t seen in a long time was wonderful. Of course, getting to take a little time away to ourselves to get some pictures taken was great too.
