For the first wedding feature of 2014, I had to go with something really lovely! I just love this chic seafoam and blush seaside wedding from dear wesleyann! All the details are gorgeous, but I especially love the romantic ceremony set up with the monogram cloth. So simple and beautiful!
Planning a wedding is so fun and exciting, at the same time can be a tad stressful. I have always known I wanted a beach wedding, I grew up going to the beach ALL the time and spent a lot of time on 30A in Florida so it has always held a special place in my heart. When I was in college I spent summers there and really could not imagine myself getting married anywhere else. We looked at a couple venues, but when we saw the Townhall at Rosemary beach we knew it was the one. From the European style architecture to the wonderful beaches for sunset pictures I asked if they had any dates in the spring available (I was asking a YEAR in advance) she told me they had one Saturday April 27th, 2013 and so that would be the day!
When it came to the theme or style I wanted simple, yet chic with LOTS of white and then hints of colors that reminded me of the ocean. I picked out these fabulous mint/seafoam bridesmaid dresses and that was really the hues I wanted to stick with, then integrate a little bit of peony pink. The flower arrangements were my favorite, we did lot of hydrangeas because those are my favorites and then for the bouquets we mixed the blushes of peonies with lambs ear.
We turned the town hall into our ceremony spot and then did a flip where we would then turn it into a sit down dinner. We also had a cocktail/green area where the bar was. We decided to make that very comfortable and did lounge seating and tall swing back chairs all in white of course! The cake was amazing it was very elegant and my favorite part was the cake topper we placed in between our cakes it was vintage and passed down from my parents wedding and was also at my grandparents wedding. It was over 65 years old and still intact.
All in all our day went off without a hitch. What I did not expect was for it to be the prettiest sunset of the year with pastel colored skies, our wonderful photographer Wesleyann captured our day so perfectly and we were blessed to have our closest family and friends there to celebrate with us.
