Make sure your ‘pin it’ button is working, because today’s farm wedding from Brooke Courtney is a keeper! From the ‘let love grow’ favors to the monogram terrarium centerpiece to the suspended cake table, there are too many amazing details to fall in love with. My favorite part though? The bride’s mother sewing in piece of her gown and her mother’s into her daughter’s gown. Such a sweet and memorable moment to share with your mother on your wedding day!
I have been horseback riding my whole life and basically grew up on a farm. Ever since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to be married on a farm. We searched over 15 different wedding venues across Montgomery County, Chester County and Lancaster County and finally stumbled upon The Farm at Eagles Ridge in the winter of 2012. We first saw the venue when it was still a construction sight, full of dirt and mud, but we fell in love and could see the Herr’s family vision. We feel so blessed to have had our wedding at The Farm at Eagles Ridge as it truly exceeded all of our expectations when we finally saw the finished product at their open house.
My Mom sewed a piece of lace from her wedding dress and my Grandmom’s wedding dress into my wedding dress. Something that is also very special to my family is that we are a 2nd generation of “Kathryn & Warren.” My maternal grandparents (who passed away 2 years ago and who Warren and I were both very close too) were also named Catherine & Warren. This marriage was not only special for Warren and I but it is also very special for my family as it seems to keep my grandparents love and marriage alive as well.
The inspiration for our wedding style was rustic, shabby chic. The color palate was pastels and lots of greens (even thought my Mom tried her hardest to get me to go for more BRIGHT colors)!
The best part was all the love that we felt from everyone who was in attendance that day! It makes us proud that everyone seemed to really feel the love Warren and I share between us and how happy we were to be married!
