Happy Valentine’s Day! Keeping with the pink trend this week, I’ve been dying to share this effortlessly gorgeous pink and gray Cali wedding! How lovely is the ceremony set up? And the centerpieces? Vintage and eclectic perfection. Their whole day was seriously sweet and the images are just divine!
The beautiful bride Nicole gives us the details:
Elan and I have been dating for eight years, so it was only a matter of “when” for our friends and family. We decided to finally set the much anticipated date and I was very nervous, yet excited about planning our wedding. I never had a vision of my wedding growing up, so this was all new to me! I am also an accountant (I’d like to think that I am not your stereotypical one) so I began the wedding planning process the only way I knew how to – by creating numerous excel spreadsheets. Fortunately, for me I discovered Pinterest early on in the process and that’s where a large portion of my vision came from. My maid of honor, Corey, who is not only an amazing friend, but also knows everything about the event planning industry helped me bring my everything to life.
Early on in the process Elan told me that he only cared about two elements for the wedding – the food and the centerpieces. My initial reaction was a little stunned, to say the least, because what groom cares about the centerpieces? I guess this is one of the many reasons why I love him so much! I granted Elan his wishes and he helped choose our menu and also took me on a three hour excursion to Ramona, California to pick out oil lanterns for the centerpieces. After we purchased the lanterns Elan could not contain his excitement, so we had to test one of them – in our small apartment in Downtown LA. We nearly burned down the building experimenting with the oil in the lanterns, but nevertheless, we figured out how to work them for our big day. Thank goodness there were no more fire mishaps.
On the day of our wedding I was so excited, to marry my best friend. Throughout the day neither of us shed a tear because we both knew that this was the right decision and were overjoyed with excitement that the moment had finally come. It was a very surreal experience. I also loved seeing my months of planning payoff and my vision come to life. It was truly everything that I dreamt of and much, much more!
