Today’s gorgeous wedding is just full of too many sweet handmade details to count! I love the cute fabric ceremony fans and the bright and fun florals. And not to mention the bride is just breath-taking in her lace gown and long veil! Don’t forget to check out the film, with pretty much the most adorable groom ceremony moment ever.
The stunning bride Jessica shares:
To begin, we had been planning an outside wedding for months and really had no backup plan in case of rain. For some reason, I just was choosing to ignore the possibility that it could even happen. Not only did it rain, but on the way there, we had to drive in a torrential downpour as we watched limbs fall off trees and debris fly everywhere. Once we got to our venue, which happens to be in the middle of nowhere, I finally broke down and cried because I had my heart set on an outdoor wedding. I ended up getting over it quickly once I remembered what our day was truly about. The funny thing was that we only had to delay the start of the wedding by 30 minutes and the even better thing (that was captured on film) was that as I was starting my incredibly long walk down the aisle, the sun came out. Everything ended up working out perfectly. The temperature even dipped into the mid 60’s which is incredibly rare for a Florida night in May.
One of the things that was most important to us was to to convey our faith in God and how He had brought us together and of course our love for each other. Another thing was just that our guests had fun and enjoyed themselves. Especially since they were driving so far. We made sure we catered awesome food and created a fun atmosphere.
I seriously have such a hard time picking a favorite moment because the whole day was amazing, but one of them would be when I was walking down the aisle with my dad towards Jason. I was literally rushing my dad to walk faster because I was so excited to see my future husband. (If you watch our video, I walked from the gate all the way in the back to the ceremony site. It was about a 5 minute walk!) One of the BEST parts of the day was when Jason said “I do” before he was supposed to. I actually think that is my all time favorite moment.
I also loved when we drove away that night. Our hearts were so full and happy. We just felt so blessed to be alive and to have each other as well as the family and friends that made our day happen. Our videographers and photographers happened to be some of our closest friends, and it made our day even more special that they were there to capture some of our favorite memories.
