Natural Beach Chic Inspiration

Today is an extra special treat! My favorite blogger friend, Lauren from Every Last Detail, and I have been scheming for the last few months something wonderful! Since both Lauren and I live nearby in Florida, we always see very over-done, verging on corny beach weddings. We set out to create some soft and sweet natural beach inspiration, and I am just blown away with the result (aka, the amazing-ness of our photographer, Jessica Lorren and our super team of vendors!)

We tried really hard to make this shoot extra chic, but still attainable. To accomplish this, we DIYed a lot of projects and also created 2 different table versions of the same theme, a higher end design and a cheaper DIY table scape. I get to show you all the DIY table, and after you can head over to Every Last Detail to see a stunning floral table!

Our DIY centerpiece is super simple and cheap. Just a collection of different sized bottles spray painted metallic gold has an amazing effect for a long table. Add in a few blooms and tea lights, and DIY never looked so fabulous! Our chargers were also a DIY idea of mine. I bought some $1.50 glass plates at Wal-Mart and hand painted a gold leaf edge. That elegant little touch adds a lot and isn’t too unrealistic for a smaller wedding party. Probably my favorite idea was our sea shell ‘escort cards’. Each table was designated by a different type of shell, then we had the lovely Laura Lavender create gorgeous calligraphy name slips to attach (I just used sticky dots to the underside) to the coordinating shell! The result was super fun, unique, and beautiful!

How gorgeous is our couple, right? Ashley and Blake had just recently got engaged, so these images were almost a mini engagement session for them! Getting this gorgeous blush Samuelle gown ended up being the key element for the shoot. I had spotted it in a blog post and knew immediately that it was THE dress! You really can’t get more perfect for a beach wedding than all those flowy layers of tulle! And the beautiful necklace is an Elva Fields, whose designs you’ve probably noticed I am obsessed with, with how many inspiration boards I include them in!

HUGE thank yous to all the amazing vendors who helped and sent us their gorgeous work! You all are so amazing!!
