Starting off this week with a beautiful springtime wedding with great vintage style from Katie Slater. I’m obsessed with all of the lush peonies and the chic single bloom centerpieces. I love how they used pieces from the bride’s grandmother and also their own house to make the space personal. And the local seed packet favors are the perfect idea for a spring wedding.
We loved Eolia Mansion so much, we designed the entire wedding around it! We wanted the feel of the ocean and the beauty of the gardens mixed with vintage charm.
Reception room was decorated with pictures of our parents and grandparents wedding days and the lace from my grandmothers dresses decorated the tables. We had guests place cards in my grandmothers old 1940’s suitcases which were decorated with lace doilies from her house.
Our seating chart was made from an old window from the house we just bought together, we attached lace to the back and lit it with candles. We used seed packets from a local seed company in our town for our wedding favors. Instead of a traditional guest book, We used a branch from a tree in our yard and asked guests to write a “wish” for us and hang it from the tree with ribbon.
