This week I am sharing a gorgeous Minnesota wedding that is the perfect example of casual elegance. The rustic farm setting is a beautiful background for all the elegant vintage details. I’m in love with the bride’s lace gown (and her adorable flats too!) And how breath-taking are the ceremony decorations? So lovely!
The lovely bride Breanne shares:
When it came time to plan our wedding, I wrote down three words: “rustic, elegant, vintage.” I tried to keep that in mind throughout the planning process. It was important to both of us that our wedding be personable and that it strike a balance of being elegant yet simple.
The most important thing to me was that when the day finally arrived, we were able to step back and take in everything and enjoy the day. Also, we wanted to make our wedding “our own” so we liked the idea of being able to pick and choose everything – from the caterer to the flowers to the DJ and be able to add our own personal touches to most things. Shepherd’s Hill Farm was perfect for this.
For Jon, his favorite part of the day was the sunset photos because it was nice to get away from all the things going on and just for us to be together without everyone watching. For me, I can’t sum up my favorite part of the day because as corny as it sounds, the whole day was perfect – seeing family and friends work together the day before the wedding and the morning of to make everything fall together, seeing all the little personal touches that our family had contributed, our first dance, the speeches, and dancing the night away. It was a great day, especially for a girl who had never imagined or pictured her wedding day before it was actually happening before her eyes.
