Everyone always dreads rain on their wedding day. I love today’s couple who took the rain in stride and ended up with a gorgeous day! And I just love the bouquet! The vibrant oranges and purples and the textures are so lovely.
The beautiful bride Jessica shares:
After looking through so many blogs, magazines, and websites, I gradually began collecting ideas of what my vision of our wedding day would be like. It was a combination of unique items that I found in my mom’s garage (it’s like a gold mine of antiques) and the pop of colors that portrayed our personalities.
One of the most common things that we had heard about wedding days is that they go by way too quickly. We were told to take many mental pictures and to enjoy the moment with each other. In order to do that, we took fifteen minutes to ourselves, alone, after our “first glance” pictures were taken. Those fifteen minutes were so special and much needed for the excitement to come. We were able to process the flood of feelings and emotions that comes with such a special moment.
Almost right after our engagement party, I started having craft days. When I started planning, I had found a “how-to” on rolled fabric flowers, and I knew those had to play a big role in the decorations. My favorite DIY project that we had created was the seating chart. I had so much fun making the man rolled flowers to put on the seating cards, which were then scattered on a lattice. I was so happy with the outcome, but my fingers were ecstatic that they did not have to roll any more flowers!
