Top Wedding Floral Trends for 2025

Flowers have an unmatched ability to transform a wedding, turning any space into something that feels intentional and uniquely yours. And just like fashion or interior design, floral trends shift each year, giving couples new ways to experiment.

For 2025, florals are leaning into a mix of the organic and the surprising. So whether your style is dramatic and vibrant or understated and whimsical, today’s trends offer endless inspiration for making your flowers as memorable as the wedding day itself. Here’s what’s making a splash this year.

Finished tablescapes

Think of your reception tables as the stage where your florals get to shine. In 2025, couples are moving away from minimal, “just a vase and a candle” setups and embracing fully styled tablescapes.

Kimberly Sisti, Owner of SISTI & CO., shares, “Looking ahead, couples are increasingly gravitating towards a more finished tablescape aesthetic. Imagine elegant tables adorned with clusters of flowers, interspersed with candles, soft moss, or natural rocks, all flowing seamlessly down the length of the table. This look beautifully highlights both the artistry of the arrangements and the intentional use of negative space, offering a refreshing departure from the symmetrical looks of past years.”

The key is balance: too much and it can feel cluttered, too little and it can feel unfinished. By pairing your floral arrangements with complementary table elements, you create a visual story that carries throughout the evening.

Boldness

Gone are the days when wedding florals had to be “safe” or understated. This year, bold is beautiful.

“Floral right now is focused on bold – bold colors, bold shapes, and designs with lots of movement,” confirms Gina Jokilehto, Owner & Creative Director at Shi Shi Events. “Couples are looking for fresh shapes in ceremony and reception florals, creating moments that feel exciting and new.”

Boldness isn’t only about color; it’s about presence and personality. Whether you choose large-scale installations or unexpected choices that surprise and delight, this trend is all about making a fearless statement.

Wild Grasses and Dried Flowers

It has been a wild year, with couples embracing the unexpected with lush and untamed floral displays. From long flowing grasses to dried flowers, this trend is lovers of modern and creative design. Once reserved for rustic or bohemian weddings, dried flowers are stepping into the spotlight again- this time as a combo with fresh blooms to give it new life.

Mary Angelini, Founder of Key Moment Films, reveals, “I’m noticing a combination of dried and fresh flowers as a growing trend. Dried or pressed flowers are making their way into all facets of the wedding design. Instead of fresh or sugar flowers, I’m seeing a trend of dried or pressed flowers on cakes. Dried flowers give a unique visual twist and speak to sustainability and budget-conscious design.”

Couples love them not only for their one-of-a-kind look but also for their longevity. Unlike fresh blooms, dried flowers can be kept long after the wedding day as a keepsake, or even repurposed into home décor.

Mono-Floral

Sometimes less really is more. One of the freshest trends for 2025 is spotlighting a single bloom and letting it steal the show for the ultimate modern monochromatic vibe.

Jacqueline Vizcaino, Owner of Tinted Events Design and Planning, notes, “We’re seeing couples fall in love with the idea of one bloom, done big. A full ceremony aisle of white tulips. A baby’s breath cloud in the couple’s color choice suspended over the dance floor. It sounds simple, and maybe it is, but it also makes everything feel so focused. It’s like the flowers know their role, and they’re not trying to do too much.”

This approach works especially well if you have a flower that’s deeply meaningful. Maybe peonies remind you of your grandmother’s garden, or orchids bring you back to a special trip you took together. By focusing on one flower, you create a theme that feels personal without needing dozens of varieties.

Tropical and Live Plants

From bold anthuriums to structural ferns, tropical and live plants are giving that fresh and modern vibe for 2025 couples. Even succulents have officially moved beyond the tiny favor pot. Their sculptural shapes and unexpected textures make them a lovely addition for couples looking for something a little out of the ordinary.

“I think succulents are a fantastic option that more couples should include,” admits McKenzi Taylor, Founder & Owner of Cactus Collective Weddings. “They add so much shape and texture! And the best part is that you can replant them at home and keep them growing and adding joy for years to come.”

The beauty of live plants is their versatility. Plus, they’re incredibly hardy, so your arrangements will still look flawless hours into the celebration.

Breaking Tradition

White roses and peonies will always have a place in wedding history, but 2025 is the year couples are shaking things up. Florals are becoming more playful, creative, and sometimes unconventional.

“Top trends I’m both seeing and predicting for 2025 and going into 2026 are more design-driven personal florals i.e. instead of the traditional bridal bouquet, brides are going for more of an artistic and effortless look like carrying a bunch of florals in their arms or being wrapped with a large ribbon and hanging from their arms, same thing for bridal party, if they choose to even have one, I definitely see those beautiful floral purses still taking over,” says Michelle Fernie-Oley, Owner of Michelle Elaine Weddings.

Breaking tradition also means not feeling boxed in by what’s “expected.” Love protea or anthuriums? Use them. Want to mix flowers with unexpected elements like feathers or fruit? Go for it. This trend is about letting your personality guide the floral choices, rather than sticking to a formula.

From bold, statement-making arrangements to the timeless charm of seasonal blooms, 2025’s floral trends are all about personality and a touch of the unexpected. So dream big, follow your instincts, and let your flowers tell a story!
