After enjoying their engagement to the fullest and letting things settle down post-Covid, Marline and Dalton said “I do” at The Bibb Mill in Columbus, GA. The vibe was an elegant, luxury garden party catering to the venue’s lush grounds. Marline knew she wanted LOTS of flowers and live greenery and stuck to a palette of greens, whites, and golds. Some favorite design elements include the hanging floral arrangements, the 360 bar, a cigar lounge, and the floral arch. They also sprinkled in plenty of sentimental touches and were sweetly intentional about how they spent their time on their wedding day. The vibe was elegant, luxury garden party. I knew I wanted LOTS of flowers and live greenery, and I was really adamant about sticking to greens, whites, and golds for the color scheme.
My dress was by Rosa Clara and I got it from a small, family owned and operated boutique in Atlanta (my hometown) called Bridals by Aimee. My dress shopping experience was so fun and stress-free. Bridals by Aimee was the first (and ended up being the only) place I went wedding dress shopping and the dress I wore for my wedding was the first dress I tried on!! My veil was from my mom, and my shoes were green to match my bridesmaids’ dresses. Also, my dad gave me a blue sapphire and diamond ring the morning of the wedding that I wore as my “something blue”.
Some of the most special moments were the first looks with my dad and Dalton, as well as the alone time Stacie made sure Dalton and I had after the ceremony (this was key to give us a moment to take everything in and eat our yummy cocktail our appetizers!). My dad’s speech was also really special.
I really loved the hanging floral arrangements… something I knew I absolutely wanted from the beginning of planning was a large floral ring over the dance floor! I also really loved the 360 bar, cigar lounge, and floral arch (ceremony space).
