Caroline and Matt’s wedding took inspiration from the happy and warm feeling of summertime on Martha’s Vineyard. Boasting the lightest array of colors, the New England sun was infused into the pastel florals, island blues, and sweetly decorated tablescapes planned by Timeless Event Planning. A champagne wall seating chart greeted their guests, which was not only visually beautiful but also a fun interactive element. Moving from the ceremony at the Old Whaling Church to the reception at the Harbor View Hotel, Caroline and Matt’s wedding was effortlessly timeless. Caroline grew up vacationing on The Vineyard every summer with her entire extended family. The inspiration for our wedding was the happy, summery, warm feeling that is so palpable on the Martha’s Vineyard. We wanted our guests to feel the magic of the island!
One of my favorite memories was drinking champagne with my mom and bridesmaids on the porch of our cottage at The Harbor View Hotel before we put on our dresses.
I wore a Carolina Herrera gown and veil. I planned a weekend of dress appointments, and it was the last dress I tried on at my last appointment. The second I put it on, it was clear there were no other contenders! My shoes were classic white Stuart Weitzman Nearly Nudes, chosen for comfort!
Our first look was so emotional and wonderful. Then our ceremony in the Old Whaling Church was our favorite part of the day.
We loved the champagne wall seating chart. Not only was it beautiful but it was fun for guests!
Our tablescapes with blue candles, napkins, and glasses! Blue was a pervasive theme of the day.
We loved our first dance! We took dance lessons all summer leading up to our wedding, and to Matt’s surprise, we really loved going to each lesson and learning how to dance!
