When it came to their wedding day, Cecelia and Brandon were inspired by the simple elegance of black and white. They softened that palate with greenery and soft pinks in the flowers to create something truly timeless. Their garden ceremony at Historic Mankin Mansion was an absolute dream, with their bloom-covered arbor creating a romantic statement piece. The reception kicked off with a choreographed first dance by the couple in the courtyard before guests moved into the tent for dinner and a delicious 5-tier wedding cake. You won’t want to miss a moment captured by Bri and Wes Photography!
I was inspired by the simple elegance of black and white. We softened that palate the greenery and soft pinks in the flowers and gold accents. We really wanted our wedding to be elegant, romantic and timeless.
My dress was a very simple and elegant fitted crepe dress with a V-neckline. My favorite part was the gorgeous covered buttons all down the back. Brandon had a custom-made suit from Wm. Fox & Co. We picked out all the materials together down to the buttons. It was a gorgeous green-blue color. We had a matching suit made for our son, who was also the ring bearer.
The main thing people tell you is everything will go by so fast and they were not wrong. My favorite part was right after the ceremony when they scheduled time for Brandon and I to have appetizers and drinks briefly for a few minutes alone.
The seating chart was the only thing well fully did ourselves. We used templates for fonts from Etsy so all the signs throughout were cohesive. We just used a large picture frame and covered the backing in black paper so the white seating chart cards would pop. We then used the wax seal with a “L” that we used on our invitations to attached the cards to the glass.
Right after that we were announced as “Mr and Mrs”, we performed our choreographed first dance and it went perfectly. The whole day was perfect and felt like a dream, but those moments were my favorite part.
