Get ready to get swept away by West Virginian romance with this stunning shoot from Rooted in Flora! Inspired by the state and their coal mines, this team took something plain, coal, and created a dreamy wedding design inspired by it. It is the perfect example showing how you can take anything as inspiration to create a beautiful day! We love the fresh spring color palette of peaches and blues. And how insanely stunning is that cake? Scroll to see all the lovely captured by Megan Lee Photography.
Inspired by the rolling hills of West Virginia and the coal mines that have had an impact on those that live here. I wanted to take these two concepts and meld them together with lots or romance and texture. By taking something that normally isn’t seen as beautiful (ie. coal), pulling colors from that element and juxtaposing it with soft romantic elements brings a new light to something so stark. When I found this quote I felt that it set the whole mood for rest of the editorial: “And if you are to love, love as the moon loves; it does not steal the night it only unveils the beauty of the dark.” – Isra Al-Thibeh
