Inspiration can come from anywhere and we love when couples find something unique to inspire their wedding day design. Today’s destination elopement shoot from Velluto Photography showcases just that, being inspired by a beautiful set of vintage plates with game birds. A sweet elopement scene under a stone bridge in Northern Italy became the perfect pairing for this sweet inspiration.
The concept of this shooting came to mind when we found two Johnson Brothers plates from the “Game Birds” collection. I was obsessed with these plates and I promised to myself to find the right occasion to incorporate them in an inspiration shoot. I had in mind something feminine and delicate and I wanted to name our editorial after the collection of plates, using the game birds as a kind of motif. I also wanted to counter balance the sweetness and delicacy of the model with the location, that’s why we chose to shoot it at the Devil’s Bridge in Turin, Italy, a place where legends, symbols, and magic are at ease. Danielle Design created a big, wild and messy bouquet and a matching centerpiece for the florals. The runner on the table was home dyed by myself with wild fruit tea infusion.
