Oh hello gorgeous dresses of your dreams! I have been dying to share this stunning wedding inspiration I helped create with Aisle Society starring some stunning David’s Bridal gowns! This brand new collection by Oleg Cassini just debuted this month and the timeless elegance is sure to have you swooning!
The inspiration for the shoot evolved from the designer himself. Oleg Cassini was a celebrity designer known for dressing icons like Jackie O and Grace Kelly. As the queen of timeless elegance, we were inspired by Grace Kelly, and envisioned the romance of “Grace Kelly in the Hamptons” captured beautifully on film by Nikki Santerre. Each gown is effortlessly gorgeous and is perfect for any modern vintage bride!
The venue, Seven Springs, is a picturesque historical estate just outside of Richmond, Virginia. Built in 1732, the manor has a rich history, included a stay by George Washington himself. With a tree lined gravel drive and towering magnolia trees, it is a serene and timeless locale. Seven Springs is also home to a flock of heritage breed Hog Island sheep, who make an appearance at events for animal lovers.
The bridal gowns were the stars of the show, with dreamy pale pink lace, timeless silhouettes, and impeccable beading as some of the highlights. With breath-taking cathedral veils and the perfect red lip, the brides showcased a timeless elegance that would have made Grace proud! The sleeveless illusion lace neckline gown was a favorite and perfection for any bride dreaming of a timeless and elegant look.
The bridesmaid dresses were sublime in varying shades of burgundy and blue, creating a dreamy palette perfect for any season. The illusion lace necklines and flowing tulle skirts absolutely stole our hearts! Isn’t that metallic botanical inspired lace darling?
At the reception, we designed a romantic table for two, complete with sweetheart settee for the newlyweds. For the tablescape, we took our inspiration straight from Grace Kelly in a scene in High Society, where she is with a model boat of the boat, True Love. As the perfect nautical touch and nod to the film, the highlight of the decor is the model boat, floating on a bed of greenery, with “Darling, let’s be adventurers” in calligraphy adorning the sail. Heirloom glassware and silverware add to the chic timelessness, while hand-lettered mussel place cards give an added touch of whimsy.
Ending off the celebration was a retro caravan bar that featured scrumptious champagne accoutrement selections like lush blackberries, fragrant rosemary and a dash of pear juice. The caravan served as the perfect bridge to yesteryear while showcasing modern amenities and stylings. The day was complete with a champagne toast and a cuddle with Cupid, one of Seven Springs’ sheep!
