It doesn’t get dreamier than this vintage styled estate wedding from Sun & Sparrow Photography and Films! With its soft color palette and lush florals, this wedding is one for the books! The light streaming through the trees for the ceremony is just breath-taking. And how cute are the air plant favors? They add the perfect touch of whimsy to the place settings.
My husband stumbled on our venue by accident. He took a wrong turn going to visit a customer and ended up seeing the sign for a wedding venue. We took this as a sign that this was where we were meant to be married! Once we signed for our venue, we knew we wanted our wedding colors and style to be rustic and romantic to reflect our beautiful venue and also because I think we were feeling a tad romantic anyway. We choose blush pink and navy blue to be accented with champagne.
When we started planning our wedding we knew that we wanted to give ourselves at least a full year to do so. We had seen other couples arguing during their wedding process and that’s not something we wanted for ourselves. We agreed to have fun and not take ourselves too seriously. We also practiced the art of compromise… which of course comes in handy in any marriage!
Coming down the aisle with my dad and seeing my husband crying is burned into my memory. I’ll never forget those happy tears and the expression on his face. Even though we were surrounded by people while we stood at the altar, it really felt like we were the only ones there.
I put together our wedding favors, just a simple air plant in a glass terrarium topped with a little kraft tag that I wrote out in calligraphy. My best friend took a modern calligraphy class with me just so I could hand address all the invitations, place cards and favor tags. I also made all the wedding bell wands and chalkboard signs. Being crafty is one of the best ways to spend time!
