We are starting off the week with this stunning and chic Sacramento wedding captured by Milou + Olin Photography. The florals are utterly amazing! The bride’s bouquet is a lush blend of greenery and pops of color, making it the perfect springtime bouquet. And that floral covered staircase it like something out of a dream! But I think my favorite detail is the dessert table set up with that amazing cake and monogram wreath backdrop.
Our wedding took place over Memorial Day Weekend in Sacramento, CA. We chose Sacramento because we both have family that reside there, and it’s where I grew up. We wanted our wedding to feel like an inside garden party (sometimes it can get really hot in Sacramento!). We chose very natural colors like grayed jade, cerulean, and a pop of coral for fun!
During the ceremony, which was Catholic, we used a family heirloom rosary to “lasso” us during our vows. All of my relatives from my mom’s side who have been married have used the rosary. My veil was passed down from sister.
After we took pictures with our bridal party, they headed to the cocktail hour that preceded our dinner. We asked our venue to set up some space for me and Ben prior to dinner. They set us up in powder room with a ton of appetizers and champagne, and it was the first time we really got to spend time together as husband and wife. I quickly realized we wouldn’t have many opportunities to talk to each other during the reception, and I am very thankful we spent some time alone right after getting married.
For us, the most important thing was to make sure everyone was having the best time possible.
