If a glamping getaway in wine country sounds like your idea of a great Bachelorette trip, you are going to fall in love with GlampingHub.com! I had the opportunity to plan a girl’s trip from their site and had the most amazing time. We chose the beautiful Rose Rive Farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Known for it’s gorgeous mountain views and award winning vineyards, it is the perfect place for a Bachelorette weekend with your favorite ladies!
The Cabins at Rose River Farm are a modern yurt style cabin, stylishly furnished and features stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The best thing about glamping is that you can be out in the middle of nature, but still have air conditioning and Wi-Fi, so you are comfortable and connected. We loved spending time out by the fire-pit, which is perfect for toasting s’mores and having some late night girl chat!
After settling in our cozy cabin, the first stop on our mountain escape was to DuCard Vineyards. This boutique winery is a gem settled at the edge of the Shenandoah National Park. We got to try some of the finest wines Virginia has to offer while enjoying the gorgeous scenery and great hospitality. My favorite wine was definitely the Rosé, which was the perfect refreshment for a warm summer afternoon. They also have sustainability at the forefront of their work and have been recognized as the Greenest Winery in Virginia.
Next we stopped by the nearby town of Culpepper to do a bit of shopping and lunch. We strolled along Davis Street, which is filled to the brim with character and great local finds. We had a hard time leaving Poppy + Chalk and Green Roost without taking the entire store with us, but we needed some sustenance. We hopped over to the Thyme Market and grabbed some lunch alfresco in Thyme Alley. It was the perfect break for us before heading back to the cabin for some good old R&R, but not before a quick stop at The Frenchman’s Corner for some homemade chocolates.
The next day we headed over to Early Mountain Vineyard for a tour in tasty wine, delicious food, and picturesque mountain views. We got the chance to tour the vast and historic property that ranged from sprawling vineyards to 1800’s barns to a modern state-of-the-art production facility. Their tasting room has been voted Best Tasting Room in the US and is the perfect place to relax with your squad, sampling some of the best wines the state has to offer. They also have scrumptious menu offerings for pairing your wine with local meats and cheeses and more (their cheese board was to die for!)
At the end of our trip we were sad to leave our little cabin, but left with some great memories and plans to make our winery and glamping adventure a recurring one!
