Since starting Glamour & Grace over 6 years ago, I have always been really passionate about supporting small business in the wedding industry. That is especially true for wedding dress designers. I know when I was planning my wedding, I thought the only options out there were what ads were in the magazines and what the local bridal shop offered. Thankfully, the internet and blogs have helped change this a little bit, but there are so many amazingly talented designers that still go unrecognized. While going to a bridal salon is great to be able to have that ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ experience, you end up missing out on the refreshing and unique gowns of independent designers. They are creating some gorgeous pieces that you won’t see in the magazines or shops, but will give you a gown that is handmade custom for you, often at a fraction of the cost of big name designers. I’ve rounded up 7 of some of my favorite handmade designers that I know you will fall head over heels for. Please check them out and consider going with an independent designer to help create the wedding dress of your dreams!
