I love the whimsical feel of today’s boho Ohio wedding from Morgan Lindsay. The bride wore a gorgeous vintage 1970’s dress (with a pair of floral Doc Martens underneath!) The couple chose to do their portraits at memorable spots, even stoping at the ice cream shop where they had their first date. Such a sweet idea!
I wanted my wedding to reflect me and my husband’s style and personality. We are both creative in different ways; love music, vintage things, and art. Our decorator, Beth worked really hard at getting my reception decor exactly how I wanted, and it turned out amazing. Fun, magical, unique lighting fixtures paired with baby’s breath, candle’s and ivory. Simple, but magical.
Our location choices for pictures were two places David and I traveled too often when dating. The Ice Cream shop was the first place David took me for a date. The Sandusky, Ohio Sand Beach was a place we we would sit by the water. We didn’t want just any location for our photos, and Morgan from Morgan Lindsay Photography knew that.
Picture frames, mirrors, colored glasses vases baby’s breath and coffee were strung around the venue in various, but particular places. For food, we wanted unique and different combinations that were fun and some of our favorite foods. The most important thing was designing a wedding that fit our style to a T and what we both loved in life. Also, focusing our wedding on our love story and having fun during the process. Many of the pictures and art that were displayed, David or myself created by hand. We had many drawings and collages with text. I handmade the guest’s coffee favors and that was one of my favorite things to create.
