If you are into that eclectic vintage vibe, you are going to obsess over this barn wedding from Jenny Smith & Co. I really love the traditions they incorporated to honor their heritage, like the Lithuania sashes they walked under for their entrance.
Everything just kind of feel together, we didn’t really have a color scheme in mind. We wanted something soft and simple and to let the beauty of our venue speak for itself. Steve and I fell in love with the location the moment we stepped foot on the grounds. It felt as if we were home, in our own backyards and the nicest woman on the planet, the owner, wanted to make a wedding for us. It was pure magic, I couldn’t have dreamt of a better day.
The best part of the day was seeing Steve’s big, goofy smile at the end of the aisle as I approached. We had decided to wait to see each other and I’m so glad for that. The anticipation was intense, but once I saw his face, and his eyes welling up with tears, I knew I had made the best decision of my life!
We incorporated Lithuania traditions by drinking Krupnikas which is a traditional liquor and entered the barn under Lithuania sashes. The inspiration for our wedding really came from the venue itself. Graf Barn naturally creates this rustic, shabby chic, vibe that you can get lost in.
The most important thing while planning was for us to enjoy every minute and not forget what really was important to us. Things can get so crazy and stressful but at the end of day you have to remember what you’re doing, you are preparing to marry your soulmate, pledging your life to one another in front of everyone in your lives that matter. It’s the most incredible joy and you must remember that when things start to feel overwhelming.
