It’s only early September, but I can’t wait for fall. Today’s gorgeous wedding from Sera Petras Photography and Glint Events is getting me so excited for my favorite season! Jewel tones are perfect for fall and I just love the gorgeous color palette of rich blue with crimson and gold. The handmade details are so sweet. How cute are the Christmas crackers at the place settings? Such a fun idea for your guests!
We wanted our wedding to feel like a late fall dinner party with our family and friends. We got married at a barn outside of Richmond, VA and chose to pair deep colors such as midnight blue and crimson with pale pink, and accented with golds and brass tones.
My engagement ring was made from gemstones that were passed down from Karl’s family.
Our ceremony was very sweet, and was led by one of our dearest friends (and one of my bridesmaids). While this was definitely an opportunity for us to celebrate our love for one another, it was really important for us to celebrate our love for our family and friends. We owe so much of who we are and the relationship we have to them and we were so excited to have the opportunity to thank them for their support!
We made our own save the dates and invitations, my wonderful bridesmaids helped me with the Christmas crackers we used at the place settings and with the floral arrangements. We even made the marshmallows for our hot chocolate bar. I was totally out of control!
We loved sitting at our sweetheart table during dinner and looking around at all the people we love most in the world laughing and eating together. It was just one of those magical life moments, when everything feels right in the world.
