Classic meets a touch of whimsy in today’s elegant pink wedding by Henry Photography. I love their adorable glitter lollipop favors that add such a fun feel to this very classy event.
We wanted a very classic and romantic feel as the theme of our wedding. The wedding colors were blush, ivory, and accents of gold everywhere. I chose light blush, floor length gowns for my bridesmaids and classic black bow-tie tuxedos for the groomsmen. We had blush roses and ivory hydrangeas with gold sprayed berries, everywhere. I wanted dim pink lights and candle light to fill the entire space.
The entire day was magical and went surprisingly smooth. It really was the fairy tale wedding that I had always dreamed of. So picking one particular favorite would be difficult but one specific moment that stands out was the moment I opened my letter from Lash after getting ready and before I put on my dress. The entire morning, while exciting, was stressful and I was feeling very nervous for the day but all of that changed when I opened his letter. That was the first time that day that I had really stepped back and took it all in. His words brought me to tears but also calmed me down and put me at ease. They made me excited instead of nervous to walk that down aisle and meet him at the end.
Our number one goal while wedding planning was for our wedding guests to feel surrounded by the love that we have for each other. I wanted that to not only be felt during the ceremony, but throughout the entire night in the flowers and the tables. We wanted the day to be memorable for not only us, but for all of our family and friends that traveled near and far to celebrate with us. As long as everyone was having a good time at the end of the night, we would have been happy!
We hand painted all of the gold candle sticks (that were used as a base for flowers) that were used at the reception. I think that they turned out great and really added the perfect amount of gold to the reception.
