If your favorite details are greenery and florals, today’s orange wedding from Brooke Courtney Photography is for you. I love the beautiful contrast of the urban venue with the lush and romantic flowers. I’m in love with the greenery garland covering the bride and groom’s chairs!
Our family and close friends mean the world to my husband and I, so our number one goal in planning our wedding was to create a celebration that felt warm and intimate to our guests. We fell in love with our rustic venue as it actually resembled our home, with beautiful beam work, exposed brick, and an inviting fireplace. It also had an industrial, urban vibe, which was perfect for us city dwellers. We felt right at home.
One of my favorite parts of the day was having a quiet moment with my dad before walking down the aisle, and then having the church doors opens and seeing my husband at the altar. A moment every girl dreams of before her wedding day (it lives up to the hype!). The other favorite part of the day was walking into the ballroom with just my husband, and seeing the vision you have had for so many months come to life.
We wanted to enhance our venue with warm, inviting colors. I decided on an orange, peach, and pink color palette for our flowers. Perfect for fall. We decided on soft uplighting and lots of candlelight on the hearth of the fireplace. It was also important to us to incorporate our two dogs, as we first met, and our love story began at our city dog park. We had a custom clay cake topper made of ‘the boys’ as we like to refer to them, and we also made homemade dog treats for the fellow dog lovers at our wedding. We sprinkled a few pictures of us with the dogs throughout the reception as well.
