Get ready for gorgeous with this romantic Arizona desert wedding from Elyse Hall. All the glam pink details are such a great contrast to the stark neutrals of the desert landscape. I’m in love with the stunning florals and the bride’s gorgeous Jenny Packham gown!
Dusty and I met in Chicago 9 years ago after we both graduated from college. We chose warm, sunny Scottsdale, Arizona for our destination wedding in February—much better weather than Omaha, Nebraska where we live.
I’m a graphic designer/art director and I was really into the details while planning. I designed the invitations and worked with a lovely hand lettering artist in town, Cheryl Dyer, who hand lettered our names for the invites, escort cards and other design collateral. All the pieces turned out beautifully. Picking the venue that felt the most like us really was important. We scoured Scottsdale venues and fell in love with the Four Seasons Troon resort and landscape. We also wanted to keep the guest list smaller and have our closest family and friends there with us to celebrate.
It was amazing to see everything come together for the big day. We spent so much time planning and it was refreshing to see it all fall into place. The day of flew by, but we enjoyed every moment. We loved our band, TreJa Vu. They’re music sounded great and during the horah they got our guests off their feet and dancing. Right after the ceremony Dusty and I took a few photos with our photographer, Elyse Hall. We really enjoyed that peaceful moment together before the reception, allowing us to get away and soak everything in—plus, we had prime photos with the sun setting behind Pinnacle Peak mountain.
