Red and gold never looked better than in this handmade vintage wedding from Miranda Marrs. I absolutely love the hanging cage lighting fixtures!
Our wedding day really was amazing, everything was exactly like I dreamed it would be. I have always been a fan of Pinterest but with so many options out there it was really hard for me to come up with a cohesive look or at least I thought it was. This was really important to me and with the help of my wedding coordinator (Robyne Swink with A Sounthern Affair) and florist (Antebellum Design) they brought it to life! They took all my decorations and made it look like a million dollars, without having to spend a million dollars.
Our first priority was to find a venue that had enough character in it already that decorating could be minimal. Hickory Street Annex had that perfect mix of urban/ shabby chic mix i was looking for.
Our photographer was another important part of our big day! Miranda really made us feel like she knew us. We didn’t want a photographer to make every photo look so formal, we loved that she caught the candid moments of our happiness. I never had to worry about her, I knew she would capture the best parts of my wedding! One of the best things we invested in was a day of wedding coordinator. Robyne and her team went above and beyond what other wedding coordinators were offering for day of wedding help. The most important thing for us was a day with as little distraction as possible. I have the attention span of a child and for the two of us to deal with a million little issues and task would have distracted us from the true importance of our big day :)
We loved being able to just enjoy the day and not having anything to stress over. We loved being able to sit down and enjoy the dinner, which was delicious, with friends and family. The food was provided by Gil’s elegant catering. Another one of our favorite parts was being able to dance with all our guests and seeing them enjoy the time as much as we enjoyed having them there. I again need to credit the florist, we loved all the floral arrangements We really felt they were beautiful. Some of my favorite parts of the day was of course seeing drew for the first time in his tux and myself in the dress and realizing how calm both of us were because we knew this was meant to be!
