Relaxed and charming are the words of the day with this sweet Pennsylvania DIY wedding from Brianna Wilbur. This couple are book lovers so they incorporated cute handmade book themed details into their day. I love the library card escort station! They picked books that had special meaning to them for each of the tables along with a little story on each card.
The two most important things to us while planning our wedding were 1, making it a day that our families and friends would enjoy and feel comfortable and 2, making it a day that truly fit us and fit our style. We focused on creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere and adding personal touches to both the ceremony and the reception that highlighted some of our favorite things to do together- ride our bikes and read.
The ceremony was held at First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown, where Dan has been the youth director for the past two years. We were especially excited to be married there because it allowed us to invite all of the kids Dan has worked with and their families. We actually ended up having about 100 kids and their families come! Seeing a church full of people supporting us is something neither of us will ever forget.
We borrowed old books from our families and friends to use as centerpieces, turned our place cards into library cards featuring books that have special stories or meaning to both of us, and fixed up a tandem bike to display at the ceremony (which unfortunately never actually made it to the church but that’s a whole other story haha). Something I really loved about the planning process was how involved Dan was with everything- he designed the place cards and programs, and even chose our wedding colors! It truly was a wedding that featured both of us.
