Today I’m sharing a gorgeous sunshine yellow and gray wedding from ArianaB Photography. This modern color combination is done in a vintage style, giving it a sweet and romantic feel. I’m loving the beautiful ceremony altar! And how adorable is the flower girl? Too cute!
A lot of the inspiration for our wedding flowed from the gorgeous venue. I kept 3 words in mind while styling our wedding- classic, vintage and romantic. These three words were the “filter” that I used to help make decisions while planning.
The brooch on my bouquet was my great grandmother’s. It acted as my “something old” and gave a some vintage flare to the beautiful bouquet. The pearls I wore were also worn by my grandma, mom and sister in their weddings. The pearls belonged to my other great grandmother.
The venue is a historic site that has had many purposes. It is now being utilized by our home church, Saddleback. It was a perfect setting for our wedding! God and family hold the most importance in our relationship and we wanted this to reflect in our wedding. We incorporated our favorite bible verse through out our wedding on our Save-the-dates, on our programs (which doubled as hand-held fans, it was 90 degrees!), and our pastor used that verse as part of the message during the ceremony.
It was important to us for our guests to have different entertainment options during our appetizer hour. We had a photo booth- which was a huge hit! The guests had a great time using the different props and taking home the fun printouts which were custom designed to match our grey and yellow vintage style. My dad made a classy bean bag toss game that corresponded with our wedding colors. We even had croquet to play- complete with grey and yellow ribbons tied to the mallets tying the game into the style as well.
Our wedding day was a peace filled day full of love and celebration with our family and friends. It was exactly what we hoped for. We wouldn’t change a thing.
