With a super cute couple and a ton of adorable details, this pink and mint handmade wedding from Amy & Jordan Photography is not to be missed! How great is the ‘unity painting’? Instead of pouring sand, they poured paint on a canvas to create a one of a kind memory of their day. I just love this idea! Also a favorite? The hand-painted kite guest book. It is so whimsical and sweet!
Jon and I are high school sweethearts and had been dating for about six years before the wedding. We both wanted to have an outdoor wedding in a place with a warm and inviting feel. We stumbled upon a very rustic and unique venue to have the wedding called Shenandoah Mill in Gilbert, AZ. The location in itself was beautiful and romantic and was exactly what we were looking for.
My husband and I both loved having the first look and agree it was one of the highlights of the day. I was very torn on having it because I was worried it would make the ceremony less special. I could not have been more wrong! The first look created a moment that was just for us and was honestly the only time during the whole day that we got to be alone to just enjoy being together, which is the whole reason for having a wedding. We laughed and cried and the world seemed to be in slow motion as we took in the happiness of the day together.
During the planning process I knew that I wanted to make most of my own decorations using antiques and thrift store items. My mom and I spent hours scouring Goodwill, antique malls and local garage sales for knick knacks to transform into one of a kind decor using modge podge, lace and burlap. Since I spent so much time personally making the decorations and planning every detail, the day of the wedding was so relaxing because I was confident everything would fall into place. Once everything was in place that day and I looked around, I could not believe how everything came together to become exactly the wedding I dreamed of.
The overall best aspect of our wedding was how much fun and memorable it was. From our amazing photographers who captured every detail and our charismatic DJ who captured the crowd, to the unique and beautiful decorations and delicious BBQ dinner, every detail fell into place perfectly. We could not have asked for a better day or more perfect people to celebrate it with!
