Today I’m sharing a gorgeous blush Miami wedding from Elaine Palladino. I love all the effortlessly glam details (how cute is the guest camera?) And I love that they did a ‘first look’, without the groom getting a look. It made for a really adorable and sweet moment and some fun images. Be sure to check out the film from Michael Burgos too!
From the moment we started planning our wedding we knew we wanted an elegant affair but at the same time for everyone to feel comfortable. Once we saw The Bath Club, previously a 1926 social club, we felt it was a fabulous backdrop to the chic, slightly vintage and romantic wedding we were after. We instantly fell in love with it’s vintage charm and the number of different rooms available for our guests to enjoy.
I wanted to remember both my grandfather’s on my wedding day, since they are no longer with us. We took 2 vintage pictures of them and made them into a bouquet charm. It looked lovely and I was very happy to walk down the aisle with them alongside my dad.
We wanted to keep some things traditional; therefore we didn’t want to do a “First Look.” I had come across an idea of taking some pictures with my future husband before the ceremony but without actually seeing each other. I had no idea how we would pull this off, but on the day of, our photographers scouted the hotel where we were getting ready and came up with a brilliant idea! They found a beautiful staircase that they were able to use for our pictures. I came down the stairs while my groom waited at the bottom without being able to turn around. We were able to touch each other’s hands and whisper sweet nothings in each other’s ears before the ceremony. It was a very special moment that I will never forget.
Since my now husband is a Designer and I am a Copywriter, we were able to design all of the signage for our wedding, including our Save the Dates and wedding invitations. They were simple and elegant, just what we were going for. My favorite detail was our picture table. We wanted our families and guests to leave feeling like they learned a bit about our families through the details of the wedding; therefore we gathered vintage wedding photos of our closest family members and displayed them in our guest book table.
If you’re a perfectionist, like us, you’ll want every detail to be just right. But at the same time we knew we wanted to enjoy every minute of your wedding…including our dinner! (Yes, we ate!) One of the best decisions we made was to hire a wedding planner. We truly were able to sit back and enjoy every minute of our wedding.
