When I was planning my wedding, the venue was the hardest choice. Finding a place that gives the perfect backdrop and atmosphere can be really difficult. Today’s wedding shows how much location really does play into the whole feel of your wedding. I just love the perfect blend of rustic and elegance in this purple Florida wedding! With a stunning Tuscan inspired backdrop and sweet personalized details, it’s hard not to fall in love!
Our wedding was at a Tuscan inspired country club in the hills of Montverde, FL. The view transported you out of FL and into a Tuscan/Napa type location with rolling hills and vineyards. The atmosphere was elegant, warm and inviting and our decor was burlap and lace vintage with eclectic table settings and decor. We captured our love and “us” by having focal points such as our parents and grandparents wedding photos on display, hand making our guest signing tree, and having some of our favorite desserts to share with guests. Every detail was personal down to my hand stitched cathedral length veil sewn by my mother and now mother-in-law together and made from the lace on my mother’s wedding dress and veil.
Our whole day was beyond amazing so its hard to pick just a few moments that stood out to us because everything went so perfectly. Some of our favorite parts of the day were relaxing with our bridal party and parents while getting ready. We had the whole day to lounge in our lady and gentlemen locker rooms, complete with lunch, celebratory champagne and spending time with some of the people closest to us. Our other special moments were the seeing our parents for the first time all dressed in our suit and gown and getting to take photo opportunities to capture those moments. Our first look session was also very special to us because it gave us time to spend together without the hustle and bustle of the day distracting us from the importance of being with each other and allowed us a moment to savor what the day was all about… Celebrating our love! Plus we have amazing pictures from those moments to cherish for a lifetime!!
Some of the things that were most important to us during the planning process were making sure that our own personality showed in our wedding decor and details. It was also important for us to have amazing photographers because after all is said and done that’s how to keep your memories of that day alive, through the photos! Also, making sure above all, the wedding and everything leading up to it was as fun as possible, and ensuring that we took time to enjoy each moment of not just the wedding but the entire planning process by including our family in the planning and organizing of our special day!
