If you’re on the hunt for some inspiration for your day, try looking into your childhood and past. Today’s bride and groom were both raised in Georgia, so their whole theme was designed around peaches. From peach centerpieces to peach-filled desserts, there are simple and sweet touches that bring a little personalization to your wedding.
The beautiful bride Rachel gives us the details:
Our wedding day was so much fun! My husband and I often want to go back and re-live the day to experience the out-pouring of love and happiness from all of the people we adore. We wanted to have a southern-classic-simple-good time feel to the day and I think we nailed it.
My husband and I were both born and raised in Georgia so we wanted to include peaches into the day. We had peaches featured in our center pieces, peach colored roses, and an assortment of peach inspired desserts. To continue with the southern feel, our menu consisted of fried chicken, meatloaf, & of course, shrimp and grits. We continue to get compliments on how great the food was (thank you chefs at Oyster Bay Yacht Club!).
And you can’t have a wedding without a party. Our DJ, Justin from Island Sound, got everyone out on the dance floor and even played one more song to fill the encore request from those cutting a rug. Ashley and Greg from Brooke Images captured every bit of this and did so effortlessly. Not only did they produce amazing photos of our day but they also had a hand in planning our day. They recommended almost all of our vendors! They are a very talented couple. To end the night, my husband and I left on a getaway boat with sparkling wine in hand. Our wedding day was truly everything we dreamed of and more!
