If the weather is dreary where you are, today’s colorful DIY greenhouse wedding is sure to brighten your day! A greenhouse is a fabulous location for a wedding to get that garden feel, but without the worry of the weather. And I just love the rainbow of color in all the brooch bouquets! Doesn’t it get you excited for spring?
The beautiful bride Diana shares:
Both of us always wanted an outdoor wedding, but the weather here can be a bit unpredictable, so Shelldance Orchid Gardens was the perfect solution – an outdoor feel but inside of a greenhouse. Plus, we didn’t need to do a lot of ceremony decorations because Shelldance was already so beautiful.
A lot of the wedding was DIY -including the reception decorations, bouquets, favors, and cake and cupcakes. My friends and family spent countless hours helping me put it all together. If it wasn’t DIY, I bought it from sellers on Etsy.com, because I really like the look of handmade things. My bouquet was made of brooches that I found in antique stores and thrift shops, but also many that I borrowed from my mom and my mother in law.
