Yellow and Gray is such an amazing color combo and it has never looked better than in this stunning garden DIY wedding! I am in love with all the fabulous ceremony details and the charming centerpieces. And the gorgeous portrait shots Driver Photo was able to capture are just the icing on the cake!
The beautiful bride Elaine shares all the details:
From the start of our engagement, Chris and I wanted our wedding to have a casual, backyard-family-barbeque feeling. We loved the picturesque setting of the Camarillo Ranch and the blank canvas that the barn provided to make our vision come to life. We knew we were going to be on a budget so we shopped around for vendors and began DIY projects immediately. I gathered various ideas from the internet and got to work!
With the help of my best friend and graphic designer, I DIY’d all of the paper details of our wedding, from the invitations and save the dates to ceremony programs and tags for our mason jars. I also folded about 5 bazillion paper pinwheels that we used for both ceremony and reception decor. We found mason jars on sale at Big Lots (of all places!) and decided to use them for our glasses and also as favors for our guests. I trolled discount and thrift stores for bottles and containers for our centerpieces.
Our good friend and groomsmen Mike brewed three craft beers that were a huge hit with our guests. My mom sews, and helped make so many little details, including the table toppers for the bottle centerpieces and my beautiful veil. We also asked various family members and friends to make desserts for our dessert bar. Our wedding was a huge collaboration and wouldn’t have been the same without the help of so many!
