If you’ve been dreaming of a wedding that brings the garden look indoors, today’s blush and lavender wedding from Cassi Claire Photography is for you! The beautiful reception space was turned into a floral wonderland with draped chandeliers and tall tree like centerpieces. The resulting look was utterly romantic!
We only looked at one other location, but when we saw the Ryland Inn we knew immediately that it was where we were going to get married. The Ryland Inn is a 220-year-old equestrian estate with an unique historical heritage. They have a newly renovated ballroom, which was perfect for our vision. The ballroom has the feel of a country farmhouse with a modern flair. It also has 30 foot windows, a stone fireplace, and six chandeliers, which created a warm ambiance.
I chose a wedding dress by Allure. It was an ivory lace fit and flare gown with a sweetheart neckline. There was beading at the neckline as well as the hips. Throughout the dress there were subtle sequins. The bridesmaid colors consisted of sweet pea Jenny Yoo convertible dresses. The flower girls wore a complimenting Jenny Yoo floral dress. The groomsmen and ring bearer wore grey suits.
In addition to my engagement ring that included my Great Great Grandmothers diamond, I had a picture charm of a loved one hanging from my bouquet. Traditions are very important to us and we signed a Ketubah, a Jewish marriage license, before the ceremony. We incorporated Seans’ Grandfathers talis as well as his Kiddush Cup. Our special traditions during the ceremony included circling seven times and breaking the glass. To begin the reception, we as well as our guests danced the Hora.
Honestly, we loved every minute. The whole wedding was amazing. In lieu of favors, we made a donation to the American Cancer Society in honor and in memory of our loved ones.
We wanted our wedding to be elegant yet comfortable for our guests. We chose the color scheme of white, light pink, and gold for our floral arrangements. We wanted a soft faded romantic look. The high floral arrangements consisted of large vases filled with pink cherry blossoms, white hydrangeas with an accent of pink tea roses. The low arrangements were pink and white with some greenery. White wisteria cascaded down from each of the 6 chandeliers in the room giving the room a simple yet dramatic feel.
My favorite personalized detail was the surprise that I had for Sean. Sean loves Auntie Anne’s and Cinnabon. As people were leaving the reception, there was a kiosk of Auntie Anne’s plain and cinnamon sugar pretzels, and mini cinnabons to take home.
