My wedding was inspired by my family’s love for hosting and the details. My color palette was inspired by the season. I wanted a little fall flare without the traditional color palette. My family lives on a farm and I was so excited that we were able to transform one of our barns into our receptions venue. I loved the family style atmosphere!
It was important to Derek and I to create an event where our guest were able to enjoy themselves. We wanted to create a day that was filled with friends, family, and celebration.
The farm has been in our family for over 100 years. It was so special to me to be able to use the place I grew up as our reception venue.
I hand painted the corn hole set that guest played at the reception. My mom sewed the bean bags. We were also able to make all of the pallet walls, that were the backdrops at the reception. The runners for the tables were homemade out of old book pages.
I absolutely adored everything about my day, just being able to spend it with so many people that I love!! But my favorite parts of the day were the ones I spent with just Derek. The first time he saw me in my dress, our first dance, walking through the corn field hand and hand for pictures. I will never forget the those moments and the way he looked at me!
